Improvements needed

After evaluating the opening sequence, I found some bits where we can improve. For example, because there are only 3 titling shots, we need 9 more. Here are screenshots of where we can put titles:

Another thing that we can improve on is the title font. So far it has a blue glow which doesn't really fit the codes and conventions of our chosen genre which is a romantic/drama.

Finally, the transition between the two scenes doesn't look right. This is because during the editing process we tried to add a black background so the flashback transition is slower, but as you can see this has failed making the audience miss the action of the dialogue.

Filming day pt 2

During the editing process, we found that the date scene didn't work out because we didn't have enough shots so we re-did it today and managed to get at least 10mins of  extra footage that we could use. Here are some screenshots:

Personal Contribution - Communication

I was in charge of getting the actors to come in and film on the right day and time. I think this helped me develop my organization skills but it was difficult to keep updating and contacting the actors. I use our groups email address to communicate with Aoife (Jamie Reel) and I mainly text Ralph (Ruben Goldberg) whenever we needed to film.

Future Plans

We have been organising a day where we could re-film some shots for the date scene. We have been trying to get in contact with the actors and so far, we plan on re-filming this Sunday the 6th of March. 

Editing Update

After editing the footage we filmed for the first scene, we decided that we had enough shots and didn't need to re-film. However, the second scene which involves a lot of dialogue didn't have enough reverse shots. Because we didn't have this, it couldn't flow and it was boring to have a two shot for 1.5mins

Filming day

Today, we filmed and met our actor/actress for the first time. We also had help from a couple of friends when we were filming. Here are some images of us:

This is the amount of footage we managed to film in 4h30mins. Each file being at least over 1min. Overall, I think it went well and hopefully after half term, the editing will make it look even better.
